Micro-Abattoirs
It is one thing to talk about mobile and micro abattoirs, it is another thing to build and run one as part of a high-welfare business. It took us 4.5 years to get it cleared, built and licensed. We're delighted we did, but goodness its hard-work. It's the first on-farm micro-abattoir for cattle in the UK since BSE in 1995.
We hope there will be a few more, particularly in the remoter parts of the UK. We are pretty sure we can save you a great deal of money if you're considering doing the same thing.
